It's been a while.
So we got more ready for Christmas by getting a tree, stringing up Christmas lights(done by yours truly), and attending my great aunt's Christmas party. We dog sat my friend's dog and I learned how much I am NOT the dog whisperer, which led to injury on both my and Nathan's part.
The weekend before Christmas we made and decorated a gingerbread house and attended Nathan's nephew Jeremy's Eagle Scout court of honor. On Christmas we had our own Christmas, eating cinnamon rolls and exchanging gifts. later we visited Nathan's mom's grave and celebrated Christmas with Nathan's family, receiving wonderful gifts. We took it easy the rest of the week until celebrating Christmas with my family last night.

So this is Christmas
I'm putting this in late. The weird pics are of nathan "on the job" which we celebrated the first week of by attending the Lewis family Christmas Kickoff. We followed that up by attending my nephew Clarke's madrigal dinner.

We're thankful for food and family
On Monday nathan got a new pair of shoes from d.i. Wednesday we went and saw wreck it Ralph and nathan had papa Murphy's pizza afterwards. After I came home he got some root beer, but it had been shaken, and a root beer fountain (messy) ensued.
Thursday we had thanksgiving dinner with my family. Nathan had five pieces of pie.
Friday I made our own thanksgiving dinner and we visited Nathan's dad and Wendy and my parents to pick up things for Christmas decorating.
Sunday we went to South Weber for Daniel and Paul's welcome home

Not much pics
Interesting week.
I got caught up with my email finally using this here new iPod I bought myself as a reward for reaching a 50 pounds of weight loss goal. I has the best week so far with my trainer, working out really hard tuesday and thursday.
Nathan read a lot, finishing The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader. He got to understand the character of Darth Vader a little better. Nathan's week really picked up on Friday. First he had a meeting with some people with Covenant/i.e.voc rehab job coach place. Then he attended a meeting for a job at Bucks4books and afterwards they had a pizza left over so they sent him home with a whole pizza. But this was just the beginning. On Saturday morning he attended our wards' Turkey Bowl and there was pizza there too. And they had leftovers and so they sent him home with another WHOLE pizza. That's right. He is a proclaimed pizza magnet.
I had to work after church but we ate chicken chili and these corn muffins nathan made from an online recipe. Then we zoomed to tithing settlement and now we're going to bed.

Any and all pictures of our house you could ever want-part 2
If you start here, you may be at the end of the tour, I still don't quite have the hang of posting things here. We moved into this house in the middle of August, 2012. This is the open house we didn't get done before it was winter.
I may or may not update but mostly will just keep current going forward as I can. This is, sadly enough, the cleanest my house has been. I may not be able to maintain this for a while. But we love our house. The previous owner was a contractor who joined the Army, and then had to sell the house when the economy got worse. Most of the work was done by him. He and his family moved to Missouri, but they still own a house in Draper, or something like that. He is Latvian, which ironically enough, is where Nathan's sister served her mission. Small world. Our first big event at the house was Nathan's birthday party. I may have blogged about that. I hope to hold a barbecue for the neighborhood sometime soon.
This week we slowly worked on cleaning the house, solely for the purpose of sending pictures to the missionaries, who, thus far have only seen stick figure drawings. I am particularly loving having my own yard to relax in in wonderful springtime weather. I love this time of year. When Indeed EVEN The Earth rejoices in the resurecction of our Lord.I love it a whole lot more than Christmas, even, so bear with my excitement.
